For the purpose of arranging the first Kovilan Memorial Talk on June 1, 2011, an organising committee meeting was convened at 4 pm at the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Academy, Thrissur, Kerala, India with Dr. N.R. Gramaprakash in the chair. The meeting resolved that K. P. Sankaran will be the Chairman of the Committee and C. Ravunny the Convenor.
